Planning For Boulder’s Future
"It made me want to get involved in the future of my town” – Code for…
We had a small, but mighty group last night at Impact Hub – eleven civic innovators turned out to work on projects for the benefit of our communities.
The group delved into three projects this week – C3PO, OpenDataPlus and Trailsy.
C3PO and OpenDataPlus are the major parts of the Permit Planning Project. C3PO is the code name for the application and OpenDataPlus is the data server. The C3PO team is busy designing the UX, investigating platforms for mobile app development and experimenting with mapping.
The OpenDataPlus team is expanding their product to support Permit Planning data in addition to the data that it handles for the Alley Art Amazin’ project.
The Trailsy team is gearing up to showcase their work at the upcoming NAGW Conference to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 23rd. The team is testing their application and considering feature enhancements from The Hiking Project and The Mountain Project.
Code for Boulder is kicking-off a new project on September 16th to develop an interactive, online version of the Community Foundations Trends report. You can find more information and sign-up for the event on the Trends Meeting page.
Thank you to everyone who showed up for the project meeting and to all who are working on Code for Boulder projects outside of the meetings. Thank you also to our partner, Impact Hub Boulder, who provides our meeting space and promotes our events. Hope to see many of you at our next project night on August 19th!
